If you have a tattoo that you need to cover up for one reason or another, you have
several different types of tattoo cover makeup from which to choose. Some tattoo
cover makeup comes in cream form, some comes in liquid, some in powder, and there
are even concealer cream pencils. The type that is best for you depends on what your
skin type is and how dark your tattoo is. Most professional makeup artists recommend
using a neutralizer, a powder, and then a base foundation over that to ensure
maximum coverage.

As with any foundation or cover up, tattoo cover comes in a variety of shades. The
shade of makeup you should use is based on the color or colors of your tattoo: red
shades require yellow or green-toned cover up, and blue/green tints require
orange-based creams and foundations. Tattoo cover up can actually work for other
skin imperfections such as acne, birthmarks, bruises, and general discolorations due
to rashes or other skin irritations.

Some tattoo products are sold individually, and some come in palettes or kits. A
cover up or concealer palette can include anywhere from four to twelve different
shades. Blending the different shades can create a shade that matches your skin
better than a single-toned makeup. And since many tattoos include more than one
color of ink, a palette will allow you to effectively cover each shade of the tattoo
to perfection.

Every professional makeup artist includes tattoo cover up in his or her makeup kit.
A lot of actors have tattoos, but as previously discussed, they aren\'t the only
things cover up is used for. An actor involved in a highly physical scene is at risk
of bruising, and may acquire one or more bruises in unintended places. With a high
quality cover up makeup, there is no need to worry about any unexpected skin
discolorations.
